Mode of action
Why use a nasal spray for migraines?
Because migraines also involve sensory nerve pathways. The nasal mucosa is an area heavily innervated by the trigeminal nerve, the same network involved in the sensation of the meninges. MIGSPRAY acts locally on this entry point, with a mechanical action, without the diffusion of an active substance into the body.
The simple idea
The nose and the meninges communicate via the same sensory pathway
What makes nasal spray relevant is not just the fact of “cleaning the nose”. The nasal septum is an area rich in nerve endings connected to the trigeminal nerve, a network involved in the sensitivity of the meninges and in the mechanisms of migraine.
The nasal septum, the trigeminal nerve, and the meninges belong to the same sensory network.
From the nasal septum to the meninges: the trigeminal connection.
A more sensitive terrain
In migraines, the triggering threshold may be lower. Repeated stimuli or local irritation may therefore be felt more intensely.
A connected nasal area
The nasal mucosa is innervated by branches of the trigeminal nerve, involved in sensory pathways associated with the meninges.
A local mechanical action
MIGSPRAY acts on the nasal mucosa and does not seek to mask the attack, but to locally reduce exposure to irritants.
A long-term routine
Prevention requires consistency. That’s why its effectiveness is assessed over several weeks, by observing your own episodes.
Mode of action
When MIGSPRAY is sprayed onto the nasal mucosa surface, the product forms a resistant, osmotic polymeric film. The hypertonic action of MIGSPRAY instantly draws the fluid present in the mucosal tissues, creating an outward flow of liquid. This mechanical action helps to detach and drain substances specifically involved in triggering migraine attacks, such as CGRP and other inflammatory proteins (interleukins 6 and 12) present on the nasal surface.
The osmotic film of MIGSPRAY acts locally, mechanically, without being absorbed by the body and over a period of 4 to 6 hours after each application. Clinical results show that regular use of MIGSPRAY significantly reduces the frequency and intensity of migraine attacks and improves quality of life.

Ingredients
Salix alba
White Willow Extract is a botanical ingredient traditionally valued for its natural wellness properties. It contains naturally occurring salicin and has long been used in herbal practices to support overall comfort.
Curcuma longa
Turmeric Extract is rich in curcumin, a natural antioxidant known for its anti-inflammatory properties. It is widely used in Ayurveda to support overall wellness and a healthy inflammatory response.
Vitis vinifera
Grape Seed Extract is packed with powerful antioxidants that help protect cells from oxidative stress. It is valued for supporting healthy circulation and overall wellness.
Mentha piperita
Peppermint Extract provides a naturally refreshing and cooling sensation. Traditionally used in herbal remedies, it helps promote comfort and supports a pleasant breathing experience.
Glycerol
Glycerol is a plant-derived ingredient that helps maintain moisture and supports a smooth, comfortable nasal application. It also helps keep the nasal spray formulation stable and easy to use.
Mig Spary Science
MIGSPRAY combines Ayurvedic plant extracts with a nasal delivery system. The nasal cavity has a rich blood supply, allowing some ingredients to be absorbed locally and potentially more rapidly than some oral formulations. This is one reason nasal delivery is used for certain medicines. The exact clinical performance depends on the specific formulation.According to the product information, the formulation is intended to act on multiple biological pathways associated with migraine, including inflammatory mediators such as CGRP (Calcitonin Gene-Related Peptide), interleukins, and TNF, though the extent of these effects in people depends on clinical evidence.
Intreaction
Due to the product’s composition and its mechanical & topical mode of action, the probability of interaction with any systemic treatment is unlikely.
For the best results, do not apply any other topical nasal treatment 15 minutes before or after the use of this product.
Precaution
Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
The product is intended for topical nasal use only.
Read the instructions carefully before use and follow the directions.
Wash hands before and after use.
To reduce the risk of cross infection, each spray must be used by one patient only.
MIGSPRAY is not toxic if accidentally swallowed.
Avoid contact with eyes. In case of contact, rinse with plenty of water.
Do not use after the expiry date, more than 30 days after opening or if the bottle is damaged.
The product may cause a strong nasal discharge within 10–15 minutes of application.
Avoid blowing your nose heavily and wipe off the excess with a clean tissue.
Interrupt the treatment for at least 4 days after each period of 30 consecutive days of use.
Storage
Store at room temperature (do not refrigerate or freeze), keep away from humidity.
MIGSPRAY is a 15 ml nasal spray designed for the treatment and prevention of migraine and headache. It works locally on the nasal mucosa through a mechanical and osmotic action and is intended to help reduce the frequency and intensity of migraine episodes with regular use.
Can I use a Migspray every day?
Yes. Migspray is intended for regular use as part of a daily migraine prevention routine. Apply 2 sprays in each nostril, 2–3 times a day, or as directed by your physician.
Can I take it with my current treatment?
MIGSPRAY acts locally, mechanically, without releasing any active substance into the body: it is designed to be compatible with your usual treatments. If you have any doubts or are undergoing specific treatment, ask your doctor or pharmacist for confirmation.
How long before you see an effect?
Prevention works gradually. Allow approximately two months to begin to assess its effect on the frequency of your attacks, and up to three months for a complete course of treatment. Consistency is key.
From what age? Can my child use it?
MIGSPRAY is intended for adults and children above 12 years of age, with use by children supervised by an adult. Follow the appropriate directions and seek professional advice when needed.
Is Migspray migraine nasal spray better than a tablet?
A migraine nasal spray and a tablet work differently. MIGSPRAY acts locally on the nasal mucosa through a mechanical action and can be used alongside regular migraine treatments. It does not need to replace your prescribed migraine medication.
What is the difference between a Migspray and a regular nasal spray?
MIGSPRAY is designed specifically for migraine prevention and acts locally on the nasal mucosa. Its formulation creates a protective, film-forming layer with mechanical and osmotic action, helping reduce local exposure to factors involved in migraine sensitivity.
How quickly does a Migspray work?
MIGSPRAY begins its local action after application, with the film acting on the nasal mucosa for several hours. Its migraine prevention benefits are designed to develop progressively with regular use over several weeks, so it should not be considered an instant migraine-stopping spray.
Is Migspray natural?
Yes. MIGSPRAY contains a combination of ingredients including glycerol, Salix alba, Curcuma longa, Vitis vinifera, Mentha piperita and other supporting ingredients. It uses a local mechanical approach rather than relying on a substance that is intended to circulate throughout the body.
